SuperCine's remarkable legacy, rooted in the ethos of Care, traces back to the visionary founding of a small post-production lab in Burbank, CA, USA, in June 1978 by close friends Bob Seidler and Larry Michalski. Specializing in Super-8 film, their work, marked by an unparalleled passion for the art form, attracted clients of all sizes and forged enduring connections.
Following a successful era, the duo's pursuit of larger ventures led to SuperCine's closure in 1992. Larry's role in Fotokem's sales team and Bob's leadership at Universal Studios established a legacy-driven culture of care and a profound love for filmmaking and innovation at each company. Their commitment to creating meaningful experiences, both on screen and behind the scenes resonated widely within the industry.
In 2017, Bob's grandson, Jordan Schulz, reinvigorated the family name, establishing the SuperCine Artist Society. Collaborating with Cal State Northridge students, the network became a dynamic hub for aspiring filmmakers to collaborate, learn, and innovate, fueled by a shared passion for impactful storytelling.
In May 2018, SuperCine®, a full-service media production company founded on care, reopened its doors. Since its inception the company has played a pivotal role in the growth of over 400 brands and artists, leveraging its expertise to elevate their narratives.
